Privacy
This site has no advertising or tracking tools, and it doesn't store your information. It asks for information in five places (the local numbers box from MyDTI is covered below): the free family guide request (on its page or in the "before you go" box), the agent guide request, the guide request for advisors, CPAs and attorneys, the personal estimate request and the class sign-up.
California notice at collection
This section tells you what we collect and why, before you send anything.
What the free guide request collects
- Always: the situation you pick (for example, "I'm helping a parent"), your first name if you give it, and your email address.
- Only if you ask Tom to call you: your phone number, the best time to call, your permission to call or text, and, if you choose to answer them, a rough age range, home value range and mortgage balance range.
We never ask for your income, Social Security number or account numbers, and only the estimate request asks for your address.
What the estimate request collects
- Your home's street address, city and ZIP; the age range of the youngest homeowner or spouse; rough home value and mortgage balance ranges; what would help most; your name, phone and email; your permission for Tom to call you; and, only if you check the optional box, your permission to text. Tom and his team use these only to prepare your estimate, and only Tom calls you.
What the class sign-up collects
- Who you are (homeowner or family, agent, office host, or advisor, CPA or attorney), your name and email, and your OK for Tom to email you about classes. Office hosts also give the office name, city, group size and best days. A phone number and permission to call or text are optional. Tom emails you only about classes. Tom and his team keep your name and email in their New American Funding email to send class notices, and delete them when you ask Tom to stop.
What the agent guide request collects
- Always: your name and email address, and your brokerage if you give it.
- Only if you ask Tom to call you: your phone number and your permission to call or text.
What the advisor, CPA and attorney guide request collects
- Always: your name and email address, and your profession and firm if you give them.
- Only if you ask Tom to call you: your phone number and your permission to call or text.
Why we collect it
- To email you the guide.
- If you asked for a call, so Tom can call you about your request and come prepared.
- For agents and professionals: your brokerage, firm or profession, if you give them, so Tom knows who he's talking with.
Who receives it, and what this website keeps
This website doesn't keep a database of your information. When you send a request, it's emailed to Tom Jarboe and his team at New American Funding so Tom can reply, and we email you the guide.
Our email service, Resend, keeps a copy of each email it sends for a short time so delivery problems can be fixed. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, runs a spam check that uses your IP address and basic browser details to tell people from bots.
MyDTI.com, which built and runs this website, gets a notice that a request was delivered, with no name, email, phone or other details.
The local numbers box on some pages comes from MyDTI. When a page with the box opens, your browser loads it from MyDTI, which receives your IP address, basic browser details and the page you're on.
Any city or ZIP code you type is also sent to MyDTI so it can show the HUD reverse mortgage counts and a Zillow home value. Its "Talk to Tom" button opens a MyDTI page in a new tab.
Anything you send there goes to MyDTI and is covered by MyDTI's notice, not this page. MyDTI's privacy notice for the box.
Your request isn't sold or shared with anyone else for marketing. Guide and estimate requests don't add you to a mailing list; class sign-ups get class notices only, until you ask Tom to stop.
Once it reaches Tom and his team, New American Funding's privacy policies cover how it's stored, how long it's kept, and your rights, including your right to know, correct or delete it:
To ask New American Funding to know, correct or delete your information, call (800) 450-2010 Ext. 7100 or email [email protected].
Calls and texts
Tom calls or texts only if you checked the box asking him to. You can say stop at any time, and you don't have to agree to calls or texts to get the guide.
On this site
The site doesn't use tracking cookies, and the local numbers box sets none either.
Your browser keeps a few small settings on your own device, such as larger text, or that you've already seen the free guide reminder (so it doesn't show again for 14 days) or already got the guide (so it doesn't show at all). They stay on your device and aren't sent to us.
